Maigluck
is a fabulous place to stay. We came across this property on the
internet and found the booking process very simple and the owners to be
extremely helpful. The accommodation is clean, spacious, well equipped
and well laid out. We had four adults and two children in our party and
everyone enjoyed themselves. The centre of Engelberg is a lovely 10
minute walk away and has all the amenities you require. Both the local
swimming pool and the Eienwaldli were fantastic. We would especially
recommend taking the cable car to Titlus, 4 meters of snow, fantastic,
and the train journey to Lucern is not to be missed! We had an
exceptional meal at the Schweizerhaus restaurant one evening and it was
only a couple of minutes walk away. We would happily recommend this
chalet and hope to return ourselves very soon. Jason & Amanda |

Our
family stayed for two weeks at this lovely home. We have three kids
ages 8,11 and 15. The house was just right for our family. We had
plenty of space for sleeping, eating and just hanging out. Like our
kids said: This is just like home! The kitchen was well equipped. The
view from the house was just breathtaking.
We will definitely be back. |

We
spent 12 unforgettable days at Maigluck in Engelberg during the summer
of 2010. We had no automobile, went everywhere on foot, and spent most
of each day hiking on spectacular and easily accessed trails. Maigluck
itself was, for the two us, quite spacious and well-appointed--and, in
fact, it had adequate room for another 4-6 people. There is a small
grocery within a short walk and a complimentary bus service that stops
at the nearby Brunnibahn station, taking you into town and to many
trail-heads. The fields behind the house provide a sense of privacy and
expansiveness that added to the pleasure of our time at Maigluck, and
it was especially nice that we were so far from the daily trainloads of
tourists who had come to Engelberg only for the cable car ride to the
top of Mt. Titlis. None of the beautiful and well-maintained paths we
hiked on were crowded. Everything is the house itself is well planned.
When Monika Rast was herself on vacation, her brother-in-law helped us
out with a minor problem. We hope to return for other visits to
Maigluck and Engelberg, though I should mention that we are both in our
mid-70's. |

Absolutely
Fabulous!!!
Excellent
location and very spacious accommodation. Fully equipped and just 2 – 3
minutes from the free bus ride to all the attractions that Engelberg
has to offer. Highly recommended. We are already planning to come back
next year or even earlier!!!.
The
accommodation and location offer to the tourist a huge range of
relaxing and active possibilities. From a calm walk in the flat country
side, to the vertiginous descends virtually from the sky (The top of
Titlis is at 3.200mts!!!). If skiing for the first time, ask for
Antonio in the ski school at the tourist centre in town... a lot of
patience.
My family
(7 members, with ages between 10 to 48 year old) really loved Magliuk
and Engelberg... and the Landlady is excellent!
The
food is extraordinary everywhere you go... if you have some spare time,
we strongly recommend to dedicate one day to walk Luzern. It is an
amazingly beautiful place to visit.

This
is a comfortable, spacious house in a wonderful location. Breathtaking
mountain vistas on all sides. Short walk into Engelberg for shopping,
dining, etc. Endless hiking opportunities all around. It was a perfect
home away from home for our family group (ages from 8 to 80). Our 80
year old guest had limited mobility, and the house worked as well for
him as for the rest of us.
The owners were delightful to deal with,
and the chalet had all the amenities you would expect. This will be my
first choice of accommodation if I'm fortunate enough to return to
Switzerland in the future. |

The
chalet is spacious enough for six people. It is very quiet during day
and night. The view is on fields and mountains. It is located on
walking distance for the skibus, towncentre and easy walking trails.
Even when it rains there are historic places which are surprisingly
interesting and unique.
You feel directly at home in the chalet with
all modern comfort. There are a lot of books in the library upstairs.
All notification was correct. It was a good experience. |

Our
family, including small grandchildren, has spent the last three
Christmas periods at the Chalet Maiglück and were very happy there. The
house is bright, warm and well equipped, and the owners are charming.
What we like in particular: the location which is quiet and yet not far
from the centre, the amazing night sky and the unimpeded view on the
mountains. There is an excellent restaurant about 200 meters away and
just next door a small bed and breakfast hotel for extra guests. Our
youngest daughter actually liked Engelberg so much that she got married
there last Christmas. |
